So the weather is finally warming up around here. This has been an extremely long and cold winter in middle Tennessee, so it's nice to get some great days. Today was one of those. At the start of our ride this morning it was around 55 at 8:30 and 77 at the finish, 11:45. Today's high is going to be low 80's, then a big storm is blowing through here tomorrow afternoon, and the highs are only going to be in the low 70's which is actually more normal for this time of year.
I have been riding more with the warmer weather, and my YTD total is now 1,091 miles. I have been getting some nice back to back rides in as well, which will come in quite handy in 6 weeks. I have several business trips that are out of state and I will not be able to ride during those weeks, and I am hoping to get in some nice long rides on those weekends to make up for the lack of saddle time.
We stopped today at a great little market in Fly, TN on HWY 7. It will set you back in time. They have everything you need there, including a bunch of old guys in the back sitting around the table "chewing the fat". The prices are very reasonable, and Mr. Fly even sells homemade sandwiches. The pictures I have added are from a previous ride, as you can tell the trees aren't in bloom yet. Here is a close up. Enjoy 'till next time.
